Shaker & Sphere (“the site”) is published by Slate Mill Group. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this site is

An independent publication about home bar equipment and cocktail gifts. It publishes editorial opinion based on manufacturer-published specifications and arithmetic performed on them, as described on how we pick.

We are not a retailer. Nothing is sold here. Every purchase you make happens on a third-party retailer’s website, subject to that retailer’s own terms, and we are not party to that transaction.

Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously: specifications are cited to their published source, and calculations are stated so you can reproduce them. But specifications change, manufacturers revise listings, and products are quietly altered. Content is therefore provided “as is”, without warranty that it is complete or current at the moment you read it.

Verify anything that matters to your purchase on the retailer’s or manufacturer’s own page before buying. If you find an error here, we want to know — see our editorial policy for how corrections are handled.

Prices

Prices shown on this site are read from the retailer and stamped with the date they were checked. They can change at any time without notice, and a price older than 48 hours is hidden rather than shown. The price on the retailer’s page at the moment you buy is the only one that applies.

Affiliate relationships

The site earns commissions on qualifying purchases made through its links, at no additional cost to you. This is disclosed above the first such link on every page that carries one, and in full on our affiliate disclosure.

Not professional advice

Content here is general information about consumer products. It is not legal, medical, financial or safety advice. Where a page describes something involving a risk of injury — ice tools, glassware, equipment loading — follow the manufacturer’s own instructions and use your judgment.

The site discusses equipment used with alcohol. It is intended for adults of legal drinking age and does not encourage excessive consumption.

Intellectual property

Text, calculations, page structure and original imagery on this site belong to Slate Mill Group. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from. Republishing pages wholesale, or reproducing our comparison tables and calculations as your own, is not permitted.
